Thank you to everyone who participated in the Seasons of Giving initiative before the holidays!
We were able to help 17 families, which includes 49 kids, while successfully filling 145 tags. This would not have been possible without the incredible contributions from staff, school groups, community members, and local businesses so thank you for supporting the Central Community!
Thank you to everyone who participated and made this initiative so meaningful. Your kindness has made a real difference in the lives of many families this holiday season!

We are less than a month away from Kindergarten Registration Night! We can’t wait to show the Central Difference to families interested in kicking off their child’s education in our district. Spread the word and we will see future kindergarten families on Thursday, Feb 6!

Kindergarten at Central Elementary received a grant from the Cologne Fire Department to purchase fidgets for students to use during reading time.
Fidget toys can offer several benefits, including improved focus and concentration, stress reduction, sensory stimulation, self-regulation, better emotional control, and can be particularly helpful for individuals with ADHD, anxiety, or sensory processing difficulties by providing a discreet outlet for excess energy while staying engaged in a task;. They can also aid in fine motor skill development and provide a calming mechanism when feeling overwhelmed and are a great addition to the classroom.
Thank you Cologne Fire Department!

Come cheer on the Boys basketball team tonight as they play host to the Dassel Cokato Chargers in a Wright County Conference matchup! C and JV tip off at 5:30 with Varsity to follow at 7:00!

Students are fired up and ready to learn in 2025!

It was a somber but educational day in AP US History today.
Students held a memorial service for Abraham Lincoln and researched historical figures and delivered a eulogy representing the point of view of this figure in regards to Lincoln's legacy for our country. The historical figures represented included Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, Harriet Tubman, James Buchanan, and Andrew Johnson among others. Mrs. Kester started the memorial service with a recitation of O Captain, My Captain by Walt Whitman which was written as a tribute to Abraham Lincoln following his untimely death.
