Central High School’s Nu-Matic Ninjas’ robotics season started in early January and is now in full swing. This year’s game is called Rapid React and is centered around transportation.
The object of the game is to deliver balls into a central hub to score points. The more balls the Ninjas deliver, the more points they earn. At the end of each match, there is also a challenge to climb a series of bars at different heights, a lot like monkey bars.
The Nu-Matic Ninjas are currently designing thier their robot to shoot the balls in the game, as well as to pick those balls up off the ground and climb one level of the bars.
This year marks their 7th year as a robotics team. The Nu-Matic Ninjas team consists of 5 boys and 5 girls from freshman to seniors. Coach Lynn Panning, has been with the team for all of those 7 years.
The Nu-Matic Ninjas are grateful to have many team mentors from our community who are former members of our team. These members include Darin Feist, April Feist, Kendall Feist, Jonah Coffel, and Cole Becker.
They are also fortunate enough to be supported by many local sponsors such as Norwood Young America VFW, Jerry’s Frame LLC, Wigfield Design, and many more!
The team is very excited about their current robotics season and can't wait for thier their competition which is April 6th-9th in Minneapolis.
