RE: Virtual, Online Learning Interest Survey for 2021-2022 School Year

Dear Parents/Caregivers:

The purpose of this survey is simply to gather initial estimates on the potential number of
students/families wishing to pursue a virtual, online learning option for the 2021-2022
school year. Central Public Schools is in the process of developing an online option for
the 2021-22 school year in collaboration with eleven area school districts. We feel by
collaborating with other schools we can offer better online services to those who choose
it, do it at a lower cost, and provide better service to in-person students by not having our
on-site staff to do both options.

Last week Gov. Walz announced some significant changes coming for masking and
potentially the Safe Learning Plan for the 2021-22 school year. Though we can not
predict what the learning model will look like in September, we are hopeful, and planning,
it will be a typical school year/model.

IMPORTANT: Answers to this survey DO NOT represent a commitment by the district to
provide a virtual learning program. Furthermore, your answer to this survey DOES NOT
represent a commitment to virtual learning in the event that Central Public Schools is able
to provide such a program.

Please complete ONE SURVEY FOR EACH of your current students in grades preK -11.
