Congratulations to Lacey Buckentin and Michael Mackenthun!
They have been chosen as Central High School's nominees for the Minnesota State High School League's Triple A Award.
The Academic, Arts and Athletic award is sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League. Each year they ask member schools to nominate one senior male and one senior female who have excelled in the classroom, while at the same time, have participated in a League-sponsored athletic program and a League-sponsored fine arts/activity.
CHS chooses nominees based on a point system of their involvement in the above programs along with their participation in college courses. On Jan. 20, 2025 one male and one female from each subsection will be selected.
The Region 2A winners will then be selected and recognized in March 2025 at the section basketball finals for each gender.
