Have you been to one of the buildings recently and noticed the lights are a little brighter? That's because Central Public Schools just completed an LED retrofit to all district buildings. This move will save the district tax payers nearly $60,000 per year in energy savings according to an Excel Energy Audit. The LED light is less stressful on the eyes, costs less, and is evenly distributed in rooms. You may also notice the parking lots are easier to navigate coming to and from evening events.
The School Board voted 7-0 to implement the plan and Nobel Energies worked from early December to January to complete the project.
