Central Secondary School

Our middle school and high school programs are housed in newly renovated spaces with more updates on the way in coming years. With small class sizes and highly qualified teachers focused on personalized instruction, our students have the chance to take their learning to the next level.

We are proud to offer a wide variety of opportunities for students to explore their interests, prepare for their future, and express themselves through art, music, athletics, STEM, and other activities. Middle School students participate in Raider Time and What I Need (WIN) Time, which is focused on building connections and providing extra support in subjects of their choice.

Most of our students participate in extracurricular activities thanks to our small-school environment that allows them to take advantage of multiple options. With a wide range of clubs and activities to choose from, our students can participate in high-quality programming tailored to their interests which sets them up for success in what comes next.

Principal's Welcome

Principal

Greetings Central Families!

It is my privilege to welcome you back to school for the 2023-2024 school year. This is an exciting time for the Central Public Schools community and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as your principal of the secondary schools.

Prior to joining Central, I was a science teacher and a middle school administrator–most recently in Eden Prairie where I served as associate principal of the middle school. During my tenure at Eden Prairie, we passed a referendum and completed a building renovation which included a new performing arts center, a new gym, 26 new classrooms and several flex spaces. This experience has shown me how an invested and involved community can impact student achievement in neighborhood schools. Central’s building project will transform the experience our students will have as we prepare them to take the next step in their lives.

My personal mission is to create conditions in our school where students can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. I look forward to partnering with you, our community, and the Central Public Schools staff to create a culture of excellence across our system. This spirit of collaboration is essential for us to achieve our goals as a school district. I am committed to building a culture where each person knows they have value, that they belong, and have what it takes to achieve at high levels. I look forward to meeting you–please know my door is always open!

With gratitude,
